Milana Vayntrub is an American actress whose face you’ve likely seen many times as the patient wireless saleswoman Lily Adams in a series of ad campaigns by AT&T. She has also appeared in a long list of short films and television series such as Showtime’s “House of Lies” and Yahoo! Screen’s “Other Space.” Vayntrub’s latest project, however, may be her most important yet.

#CantDoNothing (CantDoNothing.org) is an organization launched by Vayntrub and entrepreneur Eron Zehavi to bring public awareness to the Global Refugee Crisis and to help individuals find ways they can take action and help make a difference.

Using an iPhone, Vayntrub filmed this powerful short documentary on the refugee crisis while volunteering in Lesbos, Greece.

If you’d like to get involved, #CantDoNothing focuses on three ways of helping:

  1. Individuals can use their voice by taking part in the #CantDoNothing social media campaign.
  2. Assist refugees by volunteering with Mercy Corps, Boat Refugee Foundation, or the Starfish Foundation
  3. Donate financial support to The Syria Fund, Boat Refugee Foundation, or Off Track Health
