Documentary Drive was founded in the summer of 2015 by Alison Ficklin with the aim of sharing thoughtful reviews of feature-length and short documentaries, as well as to offer insight into how they came to be through in-depth interviews with the filmmakers behind them.
With a focus on diverse nonfiction storytelling, Documentary Drive covers docs from across the spectrum from indie films released online to conventionally distributed award-winners to veteran directors and filmmakers just beginning their careers.
