“TOWER,” an upcoming documentary by filmmaker Keith Maitland, recounts the events and heroism that took place on August 1, 1966, when a gunman opened fire from the top of the University of Texas Tower killing 14 people and wounding 32 others. Maitland is still accepting stories from people who were at the University of Texas that day and want to share their experiences and memories. “TOWER” will air on “Independent Lens” on PBS Aug. 1, 2016, marking the 50th anniversary of the shooting.
