Bob Hercules’ and Rita Coburn Whack’s feature-length documentary on legendary writer and civil rights activist Maya Angelou is set to hit theaters October 14th. From Arc Entertainment and presented by American Masters Pictures, the film shares new insight on Angelou’s early/personal life to her prolific and influential career, and includes rare footage of the poet as well as interviews with her son and the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Quincy Jones, Cecily Tyson, and former President Bill Clinton.
